TITLES OF ARTICLES and INDEX to THE HAZEN ROAD DISPATCH

Journal of the Greensboro, (Vt.) Historical Society

1997-2001

by Patricia L. Haslam

The Hazen Road Dispatch began in 1975 as the newsletter for Greensboro’s Bicentennial Committee for the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976.  Since then the newsletter became the annual journal of the Greensboro Historical Society.

The founding editor was Daniel Metraux who retired in 1987, after sharing the editorship from 1981-1987 with Sally Fisher.  Sally, long-time editor, retired in 1995 and was succceeded by Stefani Ayers Cravedi who began her editorship in 1996 with Andrea Perham as associate editor.  They shared as co-editors beginning in 1998.  Stefani retired as editor in 2000 suceeded by Gail Sangree.  Stefani became associate editor with the 2001 issue.

Titles of articles with authors’ names are listed chronologically.  Again, subject and place names are interwoven alphabetically within the every-name listing.

It is important to note that the computer sorts maiden names of wives (within parentheses) grouped at the beginning of each letter of the alphabet, rather than within each letter alphabetically.  Some have been repositioned.  One should search each position within each letter of the alphabet to retreive the needed information.
